The children of Supporting Children Initiative Foundation (SCIF) recently participated in an educational health and hygiene programme organised in partnership with the Rotaract Club. The session focused on promoting the importance of personal hygiene and oral health, equipping the children with practical knowledge and everyday habits to help them maintain their overall well-being.
The programme included interactive discussions on proper handwashing, bathing, dental care, and the importance of brushing teeth correctly and regularly. The children actively engaged in the activities, asked thoughtful questions, and gained valuable knowledge that will support healthier lifestyles.
As part of the initiative, the children also attended a menstrual health awareness campaign. The session provided age-appropriate education on menstrual hygiene, helping to break stigma, promote confidence, and empower girls with accurate information about managing their menstrual health safely and hygienically. The campaign also encouraged open conversations about reproductive health, ensuring that both girls and boys developed greater understanding, empathy, and respect.
SCIF is grateful to the Rotaract Club and everyone involved in making this programme possible. Through partnerships like these, we continue to provide our children with not only a safe and nurturing home but also the knowledge and life skills they need to grow into healthy, confident, and informed individuals.
