Recently, SCIF Nepal, with the generous support of DCI (Distressed Children International) USA, completed a flood relief program in Bidur, Nuwakot, Nepal, to support families affected by the devasted flash flood.
As part of the program, we distributed essential relief materials including emergency food items, sanitary kits, clothes, slippers, blankets, baby food, and P-Form to around 50 affected families(152 people) . Our aim was not only to provide basic necessities but also to let the affected families know that they were not alone during this difficult period.
We reached at ground level there and observed the situation and met some families and communities.
Meeting the families and children personally reminded us of how important community support can be during a crisis. Their strength and resilience encouraged our team to continue working for those who need support the most.
SCIF Nepal would like to sincerely thank DCI (Distressed Children International) for their valuable support and cooperation in making this relief program possible. Their partnership helped us reach families who were in need of immediate assistance.
This relief program may have been one small step, but together, we can make a meaningful difference. SCIF Nepal is planning to continue supporting the affected families and children in the coming days, because recovery does not end when the water goes down.
Sincerely,
Mr. Basanta
